INSPECTION:
IMPROVING LIVES NATIONALLY
Working with children and young people gives you the power to transform lives and shape society. That's why you've devoted your energy to doing it well.
Now it's time to use your experience and knowledge at a national level: to become part of the changes at Ofsted under the leadership of Her Majesty's Chief Inspector, Sir Michael Wilshaw.
Your front-line experience means you know what it takes to turn a school or a child's life around. You also know what a powerful tool an Ofsted inspection can be for making that happen. As one of Her Majesty's Inspectors (HMI) you'll do so much more than identify weaknesses. You'll support education providers to improve performance.
Together we'll drive real improvement in standards. We'll share ground-breaking best practice so that those we inspect can give children and young people the opportunities they deserve.
We're doing it because children and young people only have one chance at a good education and because we need the nation to have an education system that is truly world class.
Sir Michael Wilshaw talks about the challenges facing Ofsted.
